Mouthpieces

The Guitbert trumpet still has its original mouthpiece, which has a sharp „V-shaped“ cup and a flat rim. As strange as this model may  seem to modern players, it is highly functional and together with this instrument it produces a strong and rich sound which suits energetic Alta cappella playing alongside loud reed instruments.

We produce a bio-compatible 3D-printed version of this mouthpiece. Even after polishing the feeling of this material is, of course, different to the lips than metal. Some players dislike this and some find it even better, mouthpieces always being a very personal issue. Traditional metal mouthpieces can perfectly be used with our instrument.
